EDIT: Just to keep it oppo... I'm pissed because I got a notice saying that if I don't pay $260 to Texas Surcharge by March, my driver's license will be suspended. And what infraction led to this? Apparently, DWLI - Driving While License Invalid.

So, you will invalidate my apparently-already-invalid license if I don't pay? Or am I being charged for a license that will soon be invalid, even though I've received no notice to this effect? And the Texas State Dept. of Public Safety License Eligibility Tool says I'm still good...

So...

UPDATE: So, for the record, this $260 Tx Surcharge payment is number 2 of 3 total. I will get billed another $260 this time next year.
